My internet speed was fine until I started receiving advertisements in the mail about upgrading my speed. You guessed it, my speed suddenly became slower and slower. I'm sure the crooks at comcast would say that it wasn't anything they did. Bullshit, they are thieving bastards and really wish that they would go belly up.

I signed up for comcast internet about a year ago. I had a 25Mbits service for $39.99 a month. Now, all of a sudden my same internet service is $69.95 per month because comcast did away with what I had and bumped me up to the highest service available. I guess their profits aren't high enough when I only pay $40 a month. They are a monopoly and need to be broken up.

THEY NEVER CALL BACK AND THEY WON'T CLOSE MY ACCOUNT, despite the fact they KNOW I am not using their phone or Internet service. I hope they rot in hell.

Yes, Comcast Sucks! All my services with Comcast which includes cable, Internet and phone have been out for about 15 hours now and nobody can tell me why. I am a small business owner with a home-based office and internet and telephone are critical to my business. Every minute is precious to my business. After calling Comcast 7 times and being hung up on twice, I finally realized that I was talking to their call center in Asia. They were not empowered to help me with anything and to add insult to the situation they told me a technician would not be able to come out until Dec 21st ( I called on Dec 16th) and that's 5 whole days to wait. Remember, I run a small business that depends on having telephone and internet. They told me that they would escalate my ticket. It's been 15 hours and no technician has called for the escalation and I am now convinced that there is no such thing as a escalation and their intentions are to truly make me and my business wait for 5 whole days!!!!! I have followed up 3 times to ask when my ticket would be escalated and it seems that Comcast has lied to me all 3 times as I have not seen nor heard from Comcast as to when my services will be restored. Comcast Sucks!!!!!!!

I generally try to keep my Facebook rants non-existent, but I feel like I should share my experience with ‪#‎comcast‬. Since I moved to my apartment over a year ago, I have not had consistently working Internet. Instead of operating at speeds of 100-150mbps (which I'm aware is the top running speed) I have been operating at 6.58 download speeds with connection loss at least once a day. I used to have Comcast TV service and phone service as well, but due to the lack of consistent Internet, my phone service was pretty much a hit or miss situation. So I cancelled everything because after numerous technicians, no one could fix it. Then I realized that Comcast was the only provider servicing my complex, so I was forced to keep just Internet. After cancelling my other services, they took it upon themselves to lower my internet service from the highest speed (Blast Internet) too performance Internet, all the while still charging me almost $100/month for just Internet. After numerous calls, I was told I would be credited, and wasn't. Then, I spoke to the right person who I thought understood my struggle and she was going to issue me a credit for over $100 for my spotty Internet service. That credit was never applied because it was denied. I was then charged 2 $40 charges for 1 technician that never showed, and another $40 charge for a technician that came out the next day and changed my router/modem (this is my 5th one) and that all the technicians ever do. Not a fix. An hour after he left, no internet yet again. So, being the persistent individual that I am, I called again. I will mention the numerous times my calls to Comcast were conveniently disconnected without calls back. And also the failures to update my information. I don't think that my cancelled landline would be a great phone number on file for a customer who's phone services were cancelled....right? That was supposedly corrected every single time I called Comcast. So, then I receive my bill for my services, or lack thereof. $94. At this point I had argued for my credits and again, supposedly they had been applied. I call again. I speak to someone in the US, luckily, because speaking to someone that I couldn't understand would have thrown me clear over the edge at this point. I was then told that they don't give refunds for technician appointments. I spoke to two different supervisors. I was then told that the $80 credit for the technicians would be submitted for "review", I guess just like the time that I was supposed to get a credit to my account for my services not working properly and that never happened. The gentlemen I spoke to then issued me a supposed immediate credit for $56 which was a compromised 1/2 of what I was told I would be credited the month prior. So here I sit with spotty Internet service, problem is not corrected.... I am now operating at 30mbps and instead of trying to solve my obvious issues, they are trying to manipulate me. I have never seen a company with such poor customer service and failure to satisfy a customer. Time will only tell what will happen now.... I spend more time on the phone with Comcast than I have spent on the phone in general in a year. Side note: this is the second address that I have lived at that I have had inconsistent service and billing issues. Their failure to provide a corporate phone number, email address or mailing address is a joke and pretty much says it all. Comcast is a complete scam.

I feel as though I have been taken advantage of by Xfinity. This makes me very sad! I cannot afford to pay $169 a month for those services. I live in NJ and unfortunately FIOS is not available in my area. I pay over $70 a month for internet alone and that does not include the price of rental equipment or anything else. During business hours they divert from private users to businesses in the area and I am lucky to get DSL speeds. I am frequently off line and the customer service is dreadful; and don't even think about speaking to anyone in Corporate as they are the most ignorant and basically let you know they do not care. They are too big to care to provide any semblance of service to people and especially if FIOS is not in the area to compete with. HORRIBLE internet service, HORRIBLE customer support, and I can't wait for FIOS to become available in my neighborhood.

I once got a bill for over $350 on a $50 plan. Fixed income I thought I was going to have a stroke.

They came to my door & accused me of stealing Cable. After denying it for 10 minutes the guy on the pole yelled its not that house it was my neighbors.

Had them come for a forced service call. When he showed up I was told he had to inspect every room of my house. For what I only had two tv's.

After calling them to cancel I was called by suppose to be xfinity & was offered a great plan if I stayed. Not trusting what was being offered. I called Comcast & they said they didn't have any plans like what was being offered so it was bait & switch.

Was offered free HBO for 2 years no contract only to find out 6 months later they changed & put me into a 2 year contract.

I'm paying for performance & only get basic channels on your box while I get all subscribed channels on my TIVO. I only get 3.49 mbps download while 4.74 upload & I'm suppose to be getting 25mbps.

Use to pay for service to your house now you have to pay for every room you use. That's hard for fixed income people who live alone.

They force you to use more of their services or using one service doubles in price.

Continually adding new charges: new for DECEMBER 2015. Prices for select Xfininty services are a function of variety of factors including increases to programming cost as well as product & technology upgrades. You mean you want to buy someone else out. NBC cost what 4 billion & who paid for that. You lost TW takeover. HD tech is old why do we still have to pay extra for it. Add on top of your new pricing I now have to pay Broadcast TV Fee. A sports fee I don't give a dam about but you're gonna make me pay for it. Just like years ago you charged $3.50 sports fee. I want educational programming can you make everyone pay extra fee for that so it doesn't cost me so much. No why do I have to pay new tax on your Digital Converte box I don't use of $2.68.

Well what about the fact gas prices have dropped. You have closed every store within 40 miles of me. Which means I have to travel over 80 miles to exchange your nonfunctional box.

And now even though you put me on a contract I did not agree to my bill is going from $95 to $115 a month. F**K YOU COMCAST. You can get nothing. So tired of fighting & wasting countless hours with you A**HOLES. My neighbor just asked me about signing up with you & I said NO DON'T DO IT. THEY WILL SCREW YOU AROUND EVERY CORNER.

I worked for comcast in Denver.
I had all their services and paid 40.00 monthly. (All free hd channels, movies, etc, interent, home security, phone line)
When I left , I called in April 2015 and said to turn everything off except, 1 hd box for tv , no ovie channels, phone and basic interent so my son can do homework.
I was told by Larry-Loyalty team, downgrade in service, that my plan is now 78.56.
Paid that a few months, new bill is 420.39.
Called them today , Diash - Loyalty team, doesn't know why bill went up.
Escalated to supervisor, Lakita, she said paying everyday price on all services, services never turned off.
But she sees that I have paid 78.58 over the past months.
I asked for a manager and they were on conference calls.
I asked for a director and she said not in the call center.
I said not paying 420.39 and what are your currnet offers.
She said tripple play 99.00 or Double play 143.00.
I said cancel, can get a better deal with different company.
She said I can take hw to local Xfininty store or go to ups store, they have a label.
I asked for the hw return address and she didn't have one.
She also said I have 3 yr contract with home security, will pay early termination fee.

So, it is a different story each time I call.

Don't ever work for Comcast!!!!! Never valued their employees, or provide customer service!!!

And I said "yeah, sure". No where did I commit to any contract of any length of time. Accepting a discounted price for 6 months and promising to pay X amount for X months/years is completely different. Here I am a happy customer of Comcast with what I WAS TOLD to be a $119.99 monthly deal before taxes, until I read my bank statement after 2 months, I see $137, $148, $148 and $319. WTF????? After calling, I'm only being compensated $120 and $30 off of what now was a $191 monthly bill AND supposedly I signed a contract. Ummmmm I don't think so Comcast. Recently I moved to Bloomington.I took advantage of a great deal with Verizon to transfer my cell phones and signed up for internet and cable at my home. Verizon partnered with Comcast to provide the internet and cable. I was promised by the Verizon rep - and then reassured by the Comcast rep that I personally spoke with on the phone that there would be no installation charges. Prior to the installation I received a bill with $54.95 "one-time installation charges" - quote from the bill. When I complained, I was told they are "not installation charges" but rather a charge for a technician to come "help install the equipment". I informed the chat agent that the bill said they were installation charges and that they must be removed. The agent said they are legit - so I cancelled my order. Comcast is scamming people.I am going to let as many people know as I can.

I have been a customer of Comcast for 7 ? years. I moved to my current location, 3 miles up the interstate, 6 ? years ago. Where I live prior I had Motorola equipment and when I moved, I was told to...

I have been a customer of Comcast for 7 ? years. I moved to my current location, 3 miles up the interstate, 6 ? years ago. Where I live prior I had Motorola equipment and when I moved, I was told to take my equipment with me and plug it in at my new address. After doing that, the equipment did not work. A Technician was sent out who informed me that the infra-structure that I moved to did not support the Motorola equipment. I was given new equipment, Scientific Atlanta. Since getting that equipment, I have had problems with my TV service. I have called customer and technical support multiple times trying to get them resolved. These problems have included the DVR locking up while watching, starting to record on its own and not being able to be stopped without unplugging it, not recording series on the programed channel, time drift, having to wait 3-5 minutes for the unit to respond to commands, digital boxes being dropped from the network every 2-4 hours and having to reboot the DVR once a week to prevent some problems. After talking to tech support and the Technicians (who I know must by their first name) that have been to my house, it seems the root cause of my problems is the Scientific Atlanta equipment. When I asked for Motorola equipment, again I was told that the infra-structure did not support Motorola equipment. I asked when was the infra-structure going to be updated to support the Motorola equipment, I was told there were no plans to update. To add insult to injury, I am paying the same price for my service as the people where I used to live, who do not have the same type of problems. I have called customer service about getting a refund or at least a reduced this and was told that a technician would have to come out to my house to check the service, despite the fact I have a long history of reporting these problems. The reason given was that any refunds would have to be issued by the Technical Service side of Comcast. When I have followed up with the Technical side, I have been told that it would have to come from the Customer Service side (Dealing with Comcast is like dealing with the government, no one knows what the other one is doing).

We are concern that this malicious act will happen again. How can we fight such behavior from our paid providers when they don't perform as promised and get upset when you demand performance? ========================== Our COMCAST internet account was SABATOGED, immediately after a troubled with COMCAST PERSONAL Day before Thanksgiving, November 26, 2014 -- Between 12 noon et and 1pm et, I talked to a Comcast Billing representative, seeking to get a credit for NOT providing ?Blast? (50 mbps) performance AFTER PAYING FOR IT FOR OVER A YEAR. Earlier during that day around 9am to 10am et, I talked to Comcast technical personal because their speeds, download and upload, was not sufficient for me to successfully work from home. That Comcast representative noted that he had to change a service code for me to go from @10 mbps, with a direct ethernet connection to their router, to @40 mbps. ( www.speedtest.net can show you your speeds) After he applied the service code setting change, the download and upload became significantly better but it was not what was advertised (Blast = 50 mbps) or BEING PAID FOR. To facilitate a credit I was instructed to call Comcast billing and request a credit. Hence, when talking to the billing department, my initial concern was a credit for non-performance but when the voice menu give the amount of our bill as @ $189 we were shocked. Now the first question became why was our bill, so high? The billing representative, who gave a name of Sandra, indicated we were on a promotional plan @149 that had expired. Then new rate was now 180 something. The service that Comcast is providing is phone, premium cable and hi-speed internet. When attempting to breakdown the coverage into each component and associated pricing. The representative became very verbal in wanting to explain what a value each service represented. My interest was pricing numbers not her long comments. This proceeded for roughly 20 mins because she controlled the call to answer the questions about the services value before addressing what value a credit would represent due to (1) Comcast NOT providing a router FOR OVER A YEAR that could support their blast criteria (2) once the new equipment was installed Comcast NOT CONFIGURING THE ROUTER SETTINGS to provide the ?blast? speeds. After going back and forth with Comcast billing representative, Sandra for 40 or so minutes and being denied to speak to a supervisor, I needed to get back to work. This was my lunch time. Sandra, indicated the supervisor was in a meeting and would call me back. A CALL I HAVE NOT RECEIVED , 10 HOURS LATTER. Sandra, transfer me to sales to provide the pricing info that she could not. After verifying again and talking to sales, I got all the info I needed within 5 minutes. When attempting to log into the account within minutes of the termination of this call. We receive a XFINITY screen that in essence BLOCKED access to our ROUTER. After providing the required logins we received an ERROR MESSAGE that provided a number to call. We called that Comcast number, when authenticating or verifying the last four of our social, THEY HAD CHANGED! BOTH SOCIALs WERE CHANGED? Keep in mind we have authenticated at least 4 separate times within the last 4-5 hours. After requesting to speak to a Supervisor and explaining that I believe our account had been purposely SABOTAGED by COMCAST PERSONAL ?. I asked him to review the notes and he graciously was able to help us get back online. THE QUESTIONS remained! WOULD THE COMCAST PERSONAL THAT PURPOSELY TRIGGERED THIS TYPE OF SYSTEM FAILURE revisit THIS ACCOUNT and IMPACT ITS ACCESS AND PERFORMANCE AGAIN? THIS WAS A MALICIOUS ACT and WOULD THIS HAPPEN AGAIN TO US OR SOMEONE ELSE? Comcast representative attempted to assure us that this would not happen BUT there is little confidence in Comcast after this. We have two (2) Comcast accounts, this account is in Virginia and the same tactics has been used before by Comcast personal to my Florida account! In many regions there cannot be multiple cable companies located within the same geographical area thereby making COMCAST a MONOPOLY in many territories. QUESTION, WE ARE LOOKING TO WEAN AWAY FROM COMCAST. PLEASE PROVIDE OTHER ACCEPTABLE OPTIONS AND COST To replace the individual functionality of (1) Land line phone service (2) tv content provider (3) hi speed internet. COMCAST need to RESEARCH AND TAKE ACTIONS AGAINST ALL EMPLOYESS THAT PERFORM SUCH ACTIONS?. THEIR ACTIONS and ASSOCIATED OUTAGE caused A SIGNIFICANT SUPPORT OUTGAGE FOR MY MAJOR NATIONAL ACCOUNT. They finally stopped service and demanded payment already having sent it to Credit Bureau. I have spoken to Comcast reps repeatedly. They say I must return my equipment or face a big charge. I explained I have tried to do so several times. But the lines at the Comcast store are long and out the front door always. They said they would comer and get the equipment. Twice I made appointments to be here and have them pick up their equipment. Twice they failed to show. Once on a Friday evening I waited hours. Once on a Tuesday at their convenience, Still no show. They continue to harass me over the phone with collection bureau threats and wanting to again come supposedly to pick up their outdated obsolete equipment. Equipment I know will never get reused. They are hounding me for money and more appointments. I have given them more than reasonable opportunity to stop harassing me.And leave my good credit in check.

I received two bills at almost the exact same time one due on 9/15 for $108, the other due on 9/17 for $99. so i called comcast and after hours of getting hung up on and a thousand people i couldn't even understand i finally got someone who told me that comcast is very sorry someone must have messed up and that as long as i pay on 9/19 because comcast has a 'grace period' then we would not lose internet service, and guess what? 9/15 rolls around and they cut it off. and now i'm being hung up on and put on hold. i'd really like to mail them a box of $108 worth of rubber dicks.

I went down to your service center on a work day six weeks later, stood in line for nearly an hour to return my equipment, you gave me receipt for my credit and sent me on my way. Then, three weeks later, Comcast Business sent a technician to my house, woke my ass up from a nap, and asked me where my equipment was (??). Now, today, you called me and asked if you could send someone to pick up my equipment again?? Then, Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, you said that if I don't produce a receipt then you'll send me to a one of those collections creeps? So, you can't go through your own damn warehouse, scan your Dead Letter gear and find your crap equipment your damn self, Comcast? Now I have to take yet another chunk of my time to search for your problem? Unreal. You want a monopoly? You can't fucking handle a monopoly. COMCAST SUCKS!!!!

COMCAST is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. No wonder several people in my family have already cancelled their service.

No show, No calls back as they promised. Spend 5 hours on phone with 4 supervisors in Richmond. Monterrey and Florida. Corey (supervisor) in Richmond was the rudest person ever to deal with. Said he could not keep talking to me because there were other customers he neeeded to talk to. Wouldn't listen to a word I said. Hung up. The problem with Comcast is the level of talent they hire.

So I have to start over with describing my problem.

He looks up my account number and says.. yeah. I can't help you and neither could the other guy. Call this number.

11:04 I call the second number. The phone is immediately picked up. However no one speaks for at least 2 minutes of me calling out hello. I can hear noises and paper shuffling in the background so I don't give up. Finally the lady says.. Thank you for calling Comcast. I tell her my fax number is not working and she promptly puts me on hold. Picks up again in a minute or two and transfers me. Where I am greeted by a lovely lady who (you guessed it) puts me on hold. She comes back on in a couple of minutes and takes my info. Aaaaand then puts me on hold.

After another 5 minutes of terrible music. I get a pulse check. Sir.. you still there? I reply "yes.. yes I am". She says.. "Ok, I am going to need you to hold a little longer". Now after 10 mintues on hold.. I get passed to another service tech.

11:23 On hold with the new phone support person.. doo da doo da doo.. Hey wait. No hold music - at least it is peaceful. However if she hung up on me, I may come unglued.

11:26 hold music again. Not sure what was going on there.. Perhaps a hope he hangs up tactic. At this point I am pretty sure this is a game to them. Lets see how long we can go before the first curse word comes out of the clients mouth.

11:31 - I am getting hungry. Still on hold. I wonder what they are doing. Probably getting lunch. Wait.. as I was typing this I got a pulse check. However she was just checking to see if I hung up.

11:33 - She Just told me that she was still working with me. However she is waiting for a technical support person who can do some troubleshooting on the line. My line was disconnected. I am pretty sure I found the error.

11:36 - pulse check. I am still here...

11:39 - New guy - Sounds like a tech and not just a phone answerer.

11:41 - new guy puts me on hold. He didn't really say anything to me while he was on the phone other.. hmm ok, ok, hmm

11:43 - Not sure if I am starting to like the hold music or I am secretly being programmed by it.

11:46 - He is back.. He is taking my cell number - oh god.. Did I just hang up. He is never going to call me. I will wait for an hour before I call back.

12:20 - He calls back and asks if I have tried to call it.. Go ahead call it he says.. I cannot tell from here if it is working.

I am too tired to tell you you my COMCAST story. BUT I beat them after 5 weeks of effort- their Customer Service is proudly, defiantly dreadful.

Explained we are the ones that have a problem because our cable is out on all TV's. They respond, "We have no repair people in your area, maybe by Sunday (July 6, 2014)." Relayed information that a Comcast truck was spotted in our alley way at around 8:30 a.m. - no reply. Totally disgusted with poor service and foreign communication. Not to mention sky high cost. Went to Comcast's website, their support information is minimal - they should name their website "use for SALES only". Will be looking into finding another supplier. Any recommendations?

1. Customer Service Representatives lack training in the very basics of human interaction

2. They lose your payment and heaven forbid you didn't keep the payment receipt you were given in person because they sure didn't keep a record of in in their system or hard files

3. Customer service representatives that hang up on you when they've determined that they dont understand your issue because their colleagues dont know how to note accounts in an effective manner

4. Reps don't notate accounts.

5. Reps have to be played back supervisor callbacks from my personal voice mail because said supervisor did not note the account

6. No consistent set of rules for engaging around customers and Comcast policies. Julie is able to credit me but Joe Bloe supervisor cannot.

7. They lie.

8. They lie.

9. Did I say they lie?

10. They run local ads touting customer service but the same manager has no idea about what goes on during service hours between customers and representatives

11. Comcast consistently forgets that FIOS is in town and since customers dont have contracts with Comcast, they can easily jump ship

12. The only thing they are good for is the NBA Package and that was the only reason why my husband petitioned for us to keep them. He is so fed up he is willing to miss his Knick games just to not have to deal with the madness and crappy service that is Comcast

13. When waiting for a technician to arrive, one must wait for the customer service agent to EMAIL NOT CALL the dispatcher who then has to call back the supervisor who must then call you back to let you know where the tech is in route? How about just calling the dispatcher directly? Common sense isnt so common at Comcast these days.

14. They know they suck and give out credits instead of working to FIX the problem

15. The quality of their employees are at an all time low. EVERY SINGLE person I have been in touch with their over the last 3 weeks has been unprofessional or unable to complete some of the very basic tasks required of them such as correctly noting an account or applying a credit

16. The auto pay function decides to stop working mid string and then miraculously starts working when it decides to turn on and actually work.

17. The same auto pay function after being removed from the account, debits your account after paying the balance over the phone with the customer service rep

18. The technicians poorly represent the company as they are often contractors with no real dedication to representing the company in a professional manner. Why are you in my house at 12am asking me to feed you because you've been here for 4+ hours because you cant do your job and fix the Internet?

19. The technicians curse out the dispatchers in front of you and then quit on the spot and proceed to tell you "sorry, I been dealing with this isht all day and they gonna have to fix this for you, I'm out!"

20. When calling into the customer service call center, you can hear the reps in the background talking about some recent drama in their lives. Do I really need to hear that? I don't want to hear about how you put it down in your man last night and I certainly dont want to know what color thong you had on either!

I am writing to vent about the recent customer disservice from Comcast. I put in a request to move my service to my new home almost 5 days before the service start date at my new address. Comcast told me that the service will be up and running on Friday at 9.00 AM. The service was not up and after 8 to 9 calls to customer support a technician came to check on Sunday morning 9.45 AM. He found that comcast didn't have the service drop to my home and the technician said it may take up to 3 weeks to get the service. I called customer support again. After back and forth for 45 mins one of the supervisor told me that by Monday they will send someone to do the work. Monday came and went no body showed up. When i called today morning to cancel the service i was promised that someone will come in today and they will call me back once they figure out everything. No body called me and i called them 2.30 hrs afterwards. Now i was told that someone will come tomorrow. I asked what is the guarantee that they will show up. I also asked them to send someone today as it is 5 days since the promised service up date. They said they cannot guarantee as well as nobody is there to send today. I asked them to cancel my service. Now they are charging me for early termination fees. First they couldn't provide the service on the date they promised and on top of it they misinformed about the appointments for 4 times. Still they are not able to solve my issue or make mine as the priority. I am not sure how their job scheduling works. If they missed an job it goes bottom of the pile rather than giving it the top priority. Go Comcast! Hats off to your customer support

So I moved to the philly area in August 2011. Signed up with some double play bundle at 69.99/month for first 6 months including HBO (thought it was supposed to be a year for the 69.99 rate and free HBO for 6 months).

6 months later I find that my rate went up to 79.99/month. I chatted with a rep and they told me that my 69.99/month "promotional" period was for 6 months. So I thought to myself that maybe it was my mistake and overlooked something earlier, ok, it happens, whatever. Another 6 months later, August 2012, I find that my rate had gone up again, this time to 94.99, WTF! I chatted with another rep and he asked me if I was aware that I was on a "promotional" thing and to verify that by looking at my statements which indeed did say "promotional" How the hell can you call it a promo if the rate keeps going up every six months. He gave me some copy and paste answer along the lines of, "well comcast offers discounts to entice customers...blah, blah, blah...something about providing great value".

Really, you call that giving me a discount, and that's how comcast "entices" customers, how the hell do you entice customers by raising their rates, oh yea it's a discount. I then asked him what my "promotional" rate would be in another 6 months and he told me it would be 109.99. Seriously, this is how we do business these days. I was already going to cancel my cable services with them and just keep the internet, now I am looking for alternatives in the area.
