Comcast Xfinity posted all over the WEB and still currently state lying ofcorse .
That they will not disconnect Services to People during the Covid 19 Pandemic and Bragged about an extension they made was the President Biden til July 30 2021. That's a LIE... Not Biden . I'm sure he's clueless about Scummy Comcast Xfinity

They disconnected my phone and internet for non payment of $110 and I tried to make a payment and they would only accept the full amount due of $170.00 now.

And just sent my account into collections and ruined my life and my credit.
There is so much more to this. They are PIGS , their reps get a bonus only on a
Full Amount payment due from customer and give the disgruntled
(No Bonus Making Rep)the opportunity and authority to send it to collections.
If they want to or not.

So NO Bonus today. You are going to get your credit ruined by the Rep.
My score went 66 down points today because they just felt like.

By the way I live and take care of myself alone, I got hurt severely and my income has been $203 per month through the Pandemic and currently until July when I asked them to please allow til that time to pay, Disability kicks in.

The next day its on my credit report.
Collection Agency is all over it now.
Stays on my Credit Report for 2 years.

I switched on the channel to set up the recording and that channel is not part of my subscription a message says "go to xfinity.com/upgrade" to get the channel. I subscribe to things on the internet ALL THE TIME its always instant when you sign up and easy. NOT WITH COMCAST. They are still stuck in 1980.
I upgrade my package and agree then Boom - Oh we have to send you a different box and a different modem. What? My DVR is brand new i got it a year ago when I moved in.
I call comcast, said hey i just approved an upgrade you said it was processed but I still don't have the channel and they are talking about sending me boxes and i have to install them? Why? I have a cable package I"m just adding channels.

The person says oh yes he just has to reset my box and i will get the channel. Box resets, still dont have the channel, comcast calls back to see if the reset worked, i said no. They make this fake typing sound and then say "oh you can't have it without the new boxes you'll have them in a FEW WEEKS!!

WHAT?! You didn't mention that when I upgraded I would have NEVER agreed to that. I was looking to get a channel NOW. A single dang channel! So angry, I say forget it, your rep lied to me, your website misled me, just cancel my order.

so On a third phone call a rep said yes we cancelled your order. After HALF AN HOUR on the phone.

Then An hour after that I get a message my boxes are being shipped! I call and they say you need 2 hours notice to cancel the order, I say "I cancelled it 15m inutes after when the reset didn't work" she says oh yea, you did. Then she comes back and says "we already shipped it you can't stop it"
WTF no way they shipped it already its saturday and only been an hour. I said "call shipping and tell them stop" or "go into your system and mark it do not ship" she says they can't do that. They can't cancel it either.

Comcast, you really think i'm going to close this deal? You are done with me.

Comcast SUCKS! Because they force you to do things their way, but their way SUCKS! You can not longer change certain settings in your modem. You have to login to the xfinity website and make changes...

You have to login to the xfinity website and make changes from there. HOWEVER, not all options are exposed so now you MUST get your own router if you need to use those options.

No more port forwarding.
No more reserved DHCP addressing.

My wife called and said the internet (Comcast) was out. On the way home, I saw a Comcast bucket truck sitting under an open cable box atop a utility pole. Tech says the outage was probably caused by their working on the cable. I get home and discover the router will not connect to a few items that were, before this outage, connected. Went through 5 little Indians, a self-important tech and his boss. Nothing got resolved. The techs did, however, replace my router. I broke down and scheduled a trip to the Xfinity store. Store guy says I might need to replace my router. WTF???? My stuff worked before the cable got worked on. Comcast refuses to take responsibility. Poor company.

Living in an apartment in the boonies we magically have gigabit internet through comcast for years.

Go to buy a new house in the big city, it says gigabit available.

I moved in this holiday weekend and didn't expect them to be able to move my service so I was gonna wait till today to call.

Was gonna live it rough like a caveman over the weekend.

I get everything setup and prepped to call today last Friday, and guess what! internet already works and I get full speed.

A miracle.

That really took the stress off the move.

I call today(xfinity chat) to get the service moved over final. They proceed to tell me that internet isn't available at the home I sitting in, on the computer I'm using on their internet to web chat with them.
The turn off my service. The chat connection goes dead. I was furious.

A minute later i get a call, it's the guy from the chat, says we got disconnected. I let him know he turned me off in the middle of the conversation. He says he can turn me back on, the catch is gigabyte isn't available at the new house now.

Only a plan at 20% the speed for the same price.

Anyone have any suggestions for true high speed internet in Tecumseh Mi?

After two weeks of trying to get some assistance with the junk unit that they sent, they sent a technicial to my house who confirmed that the new equipment didnt work and he installed a new unit. Then my bill came and they charged me $100 for the service call. Highway robery, piracy, poor communications, ingnorant customer service people. This company is just plain unethical.

And since when did you have to have Internet to watch a damn TV. $303 a month for this BS. I wish they had a very good rival. But all there is is satellite and AT&T which is way worse. So we’re stuck with Xfinity and we have to live with this. Good job Comcast. Great way to treat your customers. There’s an eight hour outage and there’s no rain no wind nothing. I just spent hours on the phone with Comcast trying to get Internet working - with a router that had been working just fine. I committed the sin of buying my own router with the intention of reducing the $265 per month I spend with Comcast. I bought a modem/router recommended by Comcast. It worked. It worked fine. For several days. I called them yesterday to update their info and also learn how to return the rented modem. All was good. Several hours later, the Internet went down. They told me a technician needed to come out ($200 right there). I said no, that made no sense. Then they told me I needed to contact the manufacturer of the modem/router. What! It's the same modem/router Comcast recommends! Finally, after hours on the phone with Comcast, I get to a "level 3" who tells me all that is needed is to change the Admin and Password for the router. When challenged as to why this was not shared right the start, the "level 3" says it is too complicated for level 1 and 2's to understand!
Don't if this will work. But the whole this was BS. It was about getting another $200 out of me for a 5 minute, needless, technician visit.

Why? Because I am sick and tired of my bill going up. You hook us with this so called "great" deals that only last a year or two and then wham! Up another $50! I asked my Dad why do we have voice and phone service with this company when we both have cell phones? And out of all the hundreds of channels we only watch one local channel and METV. What a waste of money for all those other channels. We could just as easily put an antenna on the tv and go with another internet company(which I've already decided on) With the various streaming services and youtube you can find just about anything online as I have discovered. We used to have Turner Classic Movie but Xfinity decided to pull if from the package I had. I have 3 big CD books just full of classic movies, tv show and other media so I really don't need HBO or Cinemax to see a movie I like(which they don't have very often) Meanwhile Xfinity offers FREE internet services to low income families so I guess they have to pass that expense off onto us regular customers who pay over $200 a month.

So adios Comcast. We've been with you since 2003 as Comcast and before that when you were another company. You'd think you'd want to keep a 20+ year customer but I guess my money you don't want anymore.

I’ve been on the phone for over 2 hours now in transfer hell because they don’t have “access” to that system. On several calls, the rep simply either transferred me back into the queue or straight up hung up. This is a HUGE reflection on the operation and the leadership, they simply don’t give a sh**.

I fought with Comcast/Xfinity auto attendant, employees I couldn't understand, employees that refused to provide employee identification, employees that transferred me to some other line that disconnected our connection FOR SEVEN MONTHS. I was on hold for over four hours only to be disconnected. I quickly started documenting ALL my contacts. I was losing my cable and wifi signal constantly. Around the sixth month (after numerous "reboots" and told there was "noise" on the line), Comcast/Xfinity replaced the overhead cable coming from the power pole to my home (I was told they were going to run an underground cable to get rid of the "noise" but Comcast/Xfinity ran another overhead line instead). That still didn't resolve the problem. In the seventh month a technician (third time now) came to the house and said I was getting an electrical back feed coming from my house through the cable. The technician left after telling me to call an electrician. I did my own trouble shooting on this back feed and discovered that the back feed was coming from the Comcast/Xfinity modem. If someone were to come in contact with the end of the cable they would have received an electrical shock. I notified Comcast/Xfinity and the very next day that same technician (the one that said call an electrician) was back with a new modem and said, "This is the correct modem for your plan". The technician took the "wrong" modem and was "gone in 60 seconds". Amazing, the "correct" modem solved the problem I had been complaining about for SEVEN MONTH. I called Comcast/Xfinity to get compensation for 7 months of sporadic service and was basically told "so sad, too bad". I still have 7 months of documentation of the smugness of those I spoke with in case there is ever some class action lawsuit against this monopoly. I only have first names as NO ONE will give you their full name and NO ONE will provide you with the business address of their Florida Corporate Office. Also, I made two FCC complaints, but even those complaints were handled with a Comcast/Xfinity attitude of "complain all you want, there is NOTHING you can do about it. We're just too big of a business for you to be able to do anything about." Comcast/Xfinity is right. Unless something is done to break up this monopoly, the customer is helpless. One last thing.....Comcast/Xfinity raised my monthly rate. I had to again, make numerous phone calls to keep my rate and plan the same. Doesn't say much for the plan though. I started out with a lot more channels than I have now (again documented). Seems that Comcast/Xfinity can monitor the channels you watch most and then eliminate them from your plan and send them to the "higher" plan. When you call to complain that you lost channels with no compensation, "they" want you to buy into the higher plan which of courser cost more. If you request compensation for the channels you lost it's the same basic response, "so sad, too bad".

Oh, the "I can't hear you" happens as soon as the conversation gets heated and you corner the rep. COMCAST Rep tries to get you to hang up. If you don't, they will.

Their latest automated phone tree, if you are calling for billing concerns, will force you into their automated 'text' service. It sucks. Only workaround is to go to tech support and ask to be transferred to another live person in billing.

Comcast tried to increase my internet bill by 61%! Wish I had another non-cell phone internet option for the home.

I watched a film that I liked, used the voice control to search for actor "Rick Rossovich" and the idiot automated voice control robot kept telling me, "I'm sorry I can't handle requests with that kind of language: b**ch". Are you freaking kidding me? Not only does the automated voice search think that ANY word containing the "itch" sound is "bitch", it critiques a paying customer's language? I should be able to say a slew of curse words into the remote if I feel like it and all IT has to do is tell me that it found nothing, not tell me that I "cursed".

Moved to rural America three years ago for retirement I'm in a small neighborhood in a small town (20,000). Have little choice but to use Comcast as even the small providers lease the Comcast infrastructure. And that's our problem. The Comcast infrastructure, cables, routers etc can not handle the traffic load. Especially now where Covid keeps everyone home. My VOIP Phone constantly drops out during calls. The internet itself frequently goes away, stalls or simply stops. In my IT Career if I provided this kind of service I would have been unemployed.

I have 43 years experience in communications systems. The last 23 being nothing but IT. My IT customer base includes the White House, CIA, NSA, FBI, Secret Service and others. I have had more IT Certifications than most Comcast employees know exist. I have forgotten more about Communications networks than the first 3 levels of Comcast's Customer service collectively know. Comcast ignores my complaints and constantly claims the problem is my equipment. How can it be my equipment when my neighbors experience the same issues?

Where I use to live we had Verizon FIOS. It was flawless! My monthly bill was less than this crappy Comcast. I miss Verizon FIOS.

But this one makes it so I can’t even get thru to tech support or report the outage in any simple way. I get crazy messages like “we don’t recognize your phone number” etc then the next call they do. I had Verizon FIOS for over ten years & had to reset the box 3 times; w/Comcast I’m resetting/refreshing 3 times per week! Horrible & the functionality doesn’t make sense like a child designed it. I cannot wait until my contract runs out - NEVER AGAIN!

Comcast in my area completely sucks. Whenever they decide to do maintenance it's a) in the middle of the f%@king day b) it brings down my internet access each and every time. I was down for three hours one time due to their shoddy maintenance work. I have to work from home and cannot be offline during the day, especially when I'm busy and have to attend meetings.

I let some guy who works for Comcast at a Walmart know about what's going on and he proceeded to blame my apartment complex for my internet issues. I told him that when I were on Spectrum I didn't have to these kinds of problems and he proceeded to say that Comcast and Spectrum were owned by the same company (which is a f%@king lie).

The problem is no other service will come out to my complex so there isn't a lot of choices. I would try to look for a deal with them, but that would require having to talk to anyone working for Comcast. When service was being established for me, it took about three phone calls and over three hours just to get a modem that I bought that's compatible with their equipment online.

Then when you call them and talk to a person, it's like they don't understand the question being asked of them. My internet went down twice to this morning. I explained to the person that I'm currently online and connected to the internet and wanted to see if service was being done in the area. The person on the other end proceeded to want to diagnose my modem/router as having an issue when I thought I explained why I was calling. Finally, I got so mad I was like, "I was just calling about if maintenance was being done. If you don't understand what I'm saying, just say you don't understand. Otherwise, I'm done, thank you for your time." I waited a few seconds, dead silence.

If you can get another ISP in your area, use them. I wish I could use someone other than Comcast.

f%@k Comcast. They are a crappy company who tries to make it difficult for customers to actually contact a live person by hiding their custumer service phone number on their website. When you find the phone number, they try and foece you through automated lines making it extremely frustrating when you want to talk to a real person. When you do reach a live person, it is from a call center with peoole who speak broken English. Trying to decipher what they are saying while hearing multiple other conversations in the background at the call center is beyond frustrating. When there are outages, they provide no timeliness for return of service and literally lied to me telling me about the information I was asking about being on their app. If there was any other option in our area not tied to a cellphone plan we would switch.

I found that a section of my underground cable had what appeared to be lightning strike damage or animal chewed (outer orange insulation blown off/melted) and had blackened around the edges.

Spoke to the rep who said I had to pay to have this replaced.

My girlfriend's apartment was built in the 1970's and the buried wiring for cable TV and Internet are just as old and Comcast says they have degraded and need to be replaced. They went through through the trouble of mapping out and marking where the wires were buried and painting lines so they could be dug up. It sat that way for so long that the marking went away faded and my GF still has terrible Internet service and barely usable cable TV. She pays for 120mbps service and you can barely squeeze out 40 on a good day, if it doesn't just decide to drop out completely. I work in telecom and this is completely unacceptable. Just horrible. I'm on a smaller, local fiber provider where I live just across town and it's infinitely better. Monopolies suck and Comcast/Xfinity should be broken up!

Recently cancelled my service since their remote would not work and after paying them to ship me a new one, that didn’t work either. Somehow I paid a bill twice resulting in them owing me money. Bill said my $248 would be sent within 30 days. Two months later nothing has arrived. Waited on hold to discuss this. Lady said it would be returned to my credit card. This seemed unlikely since I didn’t pay with a credit card. Also, the bill made no sense in that it charged me for new services after I had cancelled. They had no explanation for this. I waited on hold for 20 minutes to have someone explain this. They hung up on me.
I called back and got a new person. She said if I don’t get the check in a few weeks just give them a call. Ha. Any conversation is just them stalling. They know nothing and do not care about your issue.
This has been my experience with their customer service for years.
Hopefully I will someday receive my money. So happy to no longer be a customer.

Then she insists I read her the MAC ID on my cable modem and SN from the DVR. She can't help (big surprise since there's no signal getting into the house) and schedules a repair call for 3 days away. Nothing sooner? No.
Turns out the whole town was down because of a problem with a feeder cable outside of town.

I set up my service, it didn’t work, they ended up sending a tech, who found out that the problem was far away from my apartment, but I was still charged for the tech visit. (And I was perfectly nice to the tech. Not a jerk at all.) AND I accepted the stupid flex box that I didn’t want because the tech said it would be a hassle for him if he took it back.

So, no, Xfinity/Comcast, if you want your effing equipment back, you can kiss my butt and come get it yourself. (BUT! As one poster said, I’d better check to make sure I’m not getting charged for it!)

Now I know why everybody in this complex has AT&T wi-fi.

These people have no idea what they are doing. One of the most poorly run companies in business. They got a little money and bought out everyone and now no one has a choice on providers. I guarantee you’d lose 80% of your business if people had a choice. Your techs know nothing except how to instruct people to restart their modem 512 times and then send you an appointment with a technician 856 days out. They don’t care. Their prices and speeds are garbage. They don’t know the difference between outages and hardware issues. They send you a text saying they fixed the problem they refused to acknowledge 3 hours earlier and to cancel your tech appt so you don’t and then low and behold your POS internet is down 12 hours later again for the entire day. This company is costing people jobs during a national pandemic. We should start a petition to ask the CEO to step down.

I moved but left service on at the old house while I prepare to sell it. Two weeks later Monday before 7:30 am they turn it off. I call and after a half hour of rebooting and calling back eventually I get them to discover that it was canceled and they turn it back on. "It'll work in 5 - 10 minutes". I wait 20 and have to go through the whole thing again. 50 minutes later... Oh, but now my modem doesn't work! They say they will have someone come out the next day (Tuesday) at 1 PM, the next possible time. No one shows up. My wife calls and they tell her they will escalate and get someone to get out there asap, but have to put in up two days of availability. Thursday first thing I call again. An hour later the tech says I have to sign an order for $70 to get someone to come out to my house! I insist on talking to a supervisor, after 5 minutes he transfers me to a line that just rings and after 10 minutes I hang up. Thsi time I call in this time using my new address and say I want to change service so that I get someone to talk to without having to reboot and call back 10 minutes later. This person says..... Okay we will credit you back for the $70 as it isn't your fault but you have to sign anyway. Oh, next available is Sunday morning... I agree to Sunday but insist a supervisor call me back to explain why I keep going to the end of the queue after having been without service for 4 days already. She says she will contact someone in the installation team and call me right back. She never calls. Oh and to top it off they are charging me a $140 cancelation fee and then some new setup fees!

They did thoughtfully include notification of ADDITIONAL charges beginning with the 01/01/20 service month, however, so MORE increases are coming next month. Maybe I wasn't supposed to notice their unexplained hike in December because of an intervening one-time rebate for a sports package that carried few games due to COVID. Unfortunately that only reminded me that I never wanted their d-mn sports package to begin with; I was forced to take it if I wanted to keep TCM. Seriously, COMCAST must be headed by the greediest collection of corporate bastards in the nation.

Net Neutrality should have remained in place. Then we might have seen genuine competition among service providers. Instead, we pay more and more for less and less of what we actually want. I have intermittent internet service, I called comcast and they kept me on and off the phone doing testing and uploads and reprograming for the better part of 2 hours on late Friday afternoon and didn't fix my problem, so they scheduled a service call for Saturday between 3 and 5 pm. I received text and email conformation about the appointment and all sorts of warnings about Covid 10 and how they take all of theirs precautions and will not enter the home if anyone tested positive for Covid.
I got a automated call about 2:30 confirming the appointment and if the problem was fixed to push the #1 to cancel the service call, I pushed nothing, as a year ago I had the same thing happen and they said I canceled the service appointment. They did it again, about 4:02 i got a text that my appointment was canceled, I called and they said I canceled it again. I called them a liar and finally they agreed that I did not cancel the appointment but somehow their dispatch service did.
I asked for a supervisor and bla, bla, bla, next available date is Thursday Dec.3. Just total BS
Has anyone else had this treatment with them canceling a appointment and saying the customer did?

Meaning things like wireless weigh scales, wireless outdoor plugs, irrigation, etc

Make sure your gaming PCs are using 5GHz not the 2.4. Netgear is notoriously known for not being that intelligent in flipping over to the proper wireless geared for the proper device.

So if your TV or PC is running slow, make sure it is connected to 5GHz, not the 2.4

But don't expect to see it until Oct. In Oct we saw no credit but did not pay. Nov. Bill comes with no credit but double the amount and added late fee.I called yet again. They gave me a "one time courtesy credit" for the late fee which we should have never been charged in the first place! They assured me the credit would be forthcoming but no it did not. Yet another call. This time I was assured it would be resolved in 24 hours and I would get a new bill. DID NOT HAPPEN. Next call I am told we had been issued 2 credits and it will be reflected when I tried to pay so he transfers us to pay. Then he tells me oh one credit was where someone accidently charged you instead of giving you a credit! NO CREDIT REFLECTED AGAIN! How many calls and months does it take to get a credit resolved.

At 3:30 went through same automation and security (COMCAST can't give you anything easy like say an appt code) because no one showed. Another operator got in touch with technician who could not find my address and had been trying to call (nope, we did not see any missed calls). Would be there within an hour! After arriving, he asked if I knew why he was there? Did anyone explain what happened and why I am here? (Umhhh ... maybe I have no internet and I called?) Nope. He was there for a pre-existing problem. Neighbors had reported it. Existing case. No need to arrive at any time for those. (Oh thank you for explaining why you were not late). AHHHH there it is! A filter is bad! That's how come we can't see when you are using our service! (What?!@#$%)? Filter replaced. Serviceman gone. Still no internet. Still paying $50 a month for nothing.

Every week I beg Verizon to put fiber on my street. I've even promised to help. I tell everybody I know (and even people I don't) to avoid Comcast/Xfinity like Covid-19. I have family that has Fios and every time I see the bill & offerings, not to mention stability, years come off my life.

Comcast customer service is non-existent and their system is plagued with outages & problems. If you do get to speak to a human, odds are that English won't be their 1st language. They remove channels and feel absolutely no compunction to lower the bill accordingly as well.

2. I don't know what they have done recently, modem resets itself like 3 times per day, mostly in the early hours of the day.

I’m glad I just discovered this site. Parents have had Comcast for 25 years. All the other battles I’ve had with this company set aside, being at home for the past 6 months has allowed me to sit and fully think about what Comcast is and it’s inherent flaws. At least in my own case.

To begin, we all know how Comcast’s customer service is. I only have to call them on average once a month or so, which is something I shouldn’t have to do. After almost 10 years of this elaborate dance, they might as well just put me on their payroll. I’m used to it. The people on the phone are semi-responsive, but they can’t do/fix anything from their end. Etc, etc. If you’re reading this, you get it. But what really does it for me is that the service they sell just sucks. It is not the least bit reliable. They are the biggest cable provider and the signal can hardly even make it to my house. And it’s not like I’m in the middle of nowhere, this is just outside of Boston. There must be some sort of issue with their infrastructure that causes this, because there’s not the slightest chance it’s anything on my end. I can make this claim with confidence because they’ve sent half a dozen guys to check everything out since I’ve started dealing with them. I’m no rocket scientist, but I’m pretty technically inclined. I can’t find one thing, from the lines outside to each connected device, that would spell trouble.

The issues—
I’d say the smallest issue would be with the telephone service. We get bombarded with robocalls, marketers, and charities all day, so when the phone stops ringing, it’s unusual. When I take the phone off the hook there’s silence. Nothing that Comcast does on their end or I do on my end can resolve this. It’s not uncommon for dial tone to take multiple days to come back. I don’t know why we’ve held onto the landline.

The next issue is with the cable TV service. At least a few times throughout the day, there is some type of interference. Everything will be fine then all of a sudden the picture gets chopped up and the sound goes out. Whatever I’m watching may freeze for up to 30 seconds. Missing that much time from a show, a movie, or a game that I’m invested in is a huge deal to me. It shouldn’t be the end of the world, but when I’m on the edge of my seat, it truly feels like it.

This last issue is the big one and that’s with the internet service. This has been going on for an eternity but it’s been driving me extra wild since my work and school have been online since March. Whether I’m connected with a phone, tablet, or computer, whether it’s wireless or plugged in, this issue presents itself in the worst way. A few minutes out of every hour is completely bogged down by non-existent internet speeds. Simple web pages won’t load and videos buffer. After trying to reload and hitting pause/play a few times, I realize I have to just sit and wait because there’s nothing I can do about it. Sometime devices will just totally disconnect. If I have to work on something for an extended period, this happens multiple times. It feels as if every time I need to do something important/in a rush this happens.

I don’t have the slightest excuse as to why we pay $250/month for this shoddy service when Verizon Fios can do the same thing for $100 less with a rock solid connection. We could get 200 up/down fiber from Fios for $40/month and never look back, but I don’t make these decisions.

I could come on here and say the customer service people are wicked stupid, but it’s way deeper than that. There’s an issue somewhere between Comcast and my house and nobody will ever be able to resolve it. The one reliable service Comcast offers is Xfinity mobile and the only reason that’s true is because they use someone else’s (Verizon’s) infrastructure.

If just one single person reads this entire post I will sleep better at night

Networks are bursty but there is no excuse for your lack of performance. Connectivity issues constant loss of connection sometimes ten minutes apart. Call and state the problem. Tier one agent moves me to some support agent tier one that is obviously also probably an emigrant in US support center that belays the ability to get through in plain English due to her accent.

26 minutes in she hangs up on me after the callback with no information as to why or anything. I call back and what happens stupid robo support wants to reboot the modem. Modem reboots and same issues arise. I call back. robo reboot wants to happen again.

I turn off completely disconnect and reconnect the modem from the cable line too. Get connection and its still varying between 1/5 amd 1/3 of the normal speed expected of 70mbs or more download speed. Comcast sucks and I am about to go pay a little more or double for a gig instead of this circle jerk service.

I purchased the modem, then called them to activate it. They told me they could not as I purchased a residential modem. They gave me a list of modems to purchase. I purchased 1 off their list. I then called them and they activated it,...yeah. I gave the UPS store their modem and sent back. My next bill had a modem charge. I called them and they said they would credit me the modem charge. After 10 minutes on hold, they came back on the line and told me they could not remove the charge because the new modem does not have a phone line built into it and its $303.41 early termination fee to cancel the phone line....uuugghhh...this company is the worst company I have ever ever dealt with. They are M**ther Fu**in money suckers.

He had no clues so it was fortunate I installed antenna systems in the 60's and had the tools and the experience to "educate" him. Gypsy repairmen sent out untrained and unequipped. 30 minutes to get the new equipment up and running. 3 hours talking to customer service. Then when I finally got it all settled, they sent me a text saying that they needed to send a tech to my house. No option to decline. So I had to get back on with customer service.

Not to mention they previously raised my rate up to $100 a month from $50 a month because they're "promotion ended." That's $100 a month for just internet service and nothing else. I got them down to 74, but wow do I hate them!

I called in today because there's no longer a button to "save as draft" when composing an email using Comcast email and I want to know how to save an email as a draft. It's been missing for 2 or 3 months. (Another great Comcast fix. Not) I got some Indian girl who couldn't grasp what I was asking. She wanted to know what phone I was using. Phone? Who said anything about a phone? I'm on my computer using Windows 10.

She puts me on hold and when she comes back wants to know if I restarted my computer. I told her I restart the computer every day, and as I've already explained to her, this is not a new issue. I told her it was another stupid Comcast "fix". This idiot proceeds to tell me that I can't use profanity. I told her that saying the word "stupid" is not profanity. She tells me that to her it is. I then said that's "crap". She then tells me she is going to hang up on me because I keep using profanity. What a stupid f%@king bitch. Now that's profanity. So I hung up on her instead and found a Comcast forum that explained it.

Turns out Comcast supposedly took the "save as draft" button to save real estate on the page. Except they saved no room because the "send" save as draft", and "discharge" buttons were all lined up in a row and removing one button saves no room. First, in the forum, one customer was told in June that it was a server issue and would be resolved in a couple of days. Then in July, another customer was told of the 'real estate saving' purpose of getting rid of the button. IDIOTS as usual working for Comcast.

While we're on the topic of Comcast idiots. Every week I have to delete 40 to 50 shows that are re-runs. I have it set to only record "new" shows. When I called about that I was told that it's not their fault that the networks list re-runs as "new". I told them that none of the programs I am deleting say they are new. They all say repeats.

And think about it. When a program starts at midnight and runs 10-15 shows back to back, they can't all possibly be new shows. The rep then just said sorry, there's nothing he can do.

Way to charge more than anyone to put out shit service. And don't even get me started on their piece of shit DVRs. What's really aggravating is every time I've had to call in due to another problem, the customer service rep acts like it's the first time he/she has ever heard about the problem. Yet everyone online knows about it.

It's time to write a letter to Tom Darinshak and let him know how bad Comcast sucks and how their customer service is even worse. No wonder so many people are dumping Comcast. I hope to be next.

Now that I have all the legal paperwork they want me to bring it all to a Comcast store to have it finalized, in the middle of a pandemic. or I can e-mail the paperwork back to the original sender of the e-mail...so considering I wasn't the one who received the paperwork that won't work either. What's next 99.95 for service with an actual download speed of 10 megabits though promised many times that?

I was told that "The Team" would be contacting me on my cell phone to discuss possibilities for a more reasonable charge. I was trying to explain that I can get cheaper ($65) and better service from another local provider...

"upgraded" my service 2.5 weeks ago... since then spotty wifi, new modem, two tech visits, 10 phone consults to remedy my problems, recommended to place pods, no pods available, one agent was helpful and recomended I call back during "normal business hours" so an agent could message that department directly to request the pieces, two phone calls later today, another hour of time wasted only to tell me that they can't help, the customer has to order them, issue=none are in stock. I work for government and even we have better business practices. COMCAST SUCKS!

I just filed a BBB complaint against Comcast/Xfinity and reported them to the Florida State Utility Dept, as well as the State Attorney General's office.
I have also had issues with not receiving the contracted 200 Mbps high-speed internet service. Been dealing with it since Nov of 2019. I have done 15 CS calls, had 3 service technicians comes out ... ALL to say no issues with lines in house.......no issues with lines coming from the pole to house....no issues with the new router. BUT I cannot get speeds beyond 60-80 Mbps constantly.
Back in March before the world went to hell-in- a handbasket, Comcast Technicians indicated that there server hub station had a fire and burnt up their AC units....... ok, fine - not my problem. Get the thing fixed. They haven't - and its still 5-6 months later and still is terrible.
Then they tried to blame it on COVID-19 and everyone being home.........I called Bullshit on them - and said I have been dealing with this since Nov 2019....don't give that excuse and lie.

So I filed the complaints...... I am demanding refund of 40% of each months bill (for internet service - or lack of) backdating to Nov 2019 to current......... I am also demanding a full release and cancellation of my contract service ...without any early termination fees or costs...because they cannot provide me with adequate and contracted service as promised and advertised....
I am bailing out of Comcast on Monday 08/10 and going with Frontiers FIOS whcih is better service of 500 mbps Fios cable lines.....

I am will fight these bastards with a class action suit if i have too........

Just watched "Indian in the Cupboard", a kids film from 1995 with my son. One of the stars is Native American actor Litefoot, who plays "Little Bear". He isn't mentioned or shown in the list of cast members, which in fact says that characters "Little Bear" and "Jane" were BOTH played by actress Lindsay Crouse! There's no way of course to contact the people who put the guide together, and if you call Comcast all they every do is suggest a reboot. That isn't the problem. A reboot isn't going to correct mistakes made by EMPLOYEES.

I have not been able to get anyone on the phone for weeks. With Covid Xfinity is so overwhelmed and out of their depth. The phone message sends you on a loop that ends with an automated text, after which the bot realizes they can't help you and tell you to call the main number. Unbelievably frustrating. The chat agents promise someone will get back to you in 24 hours - no one does. You spend 3 hours on the phone to get to an agent, who routes you to his supervisor, who is now on the phone but will call you back in 30 minutes. Two days later, still waiting.

I have never ever heard anyone say anything good about Xfinity customer service. Yet nearly everyone has a complaint. Unless in the future I will move to an area that is ONLY serviceable by Comcast, I am content to never use it again. Buh-bye Xfinity and good riddance.

Sheltering in place where Comcast is the only ISP and have had the Internet suddenly go down in various ways for no clear reason a dozen times. In March and April, it went out around 10-11 am every day for a week. Guy came out and had to replace some sketchy connectors that had corroded. Question: why install cheap metal connectors that corridor after a year? Now it’s been out for a day, in the middle of deadline work. Right, they couldn’t get anyone out for two days until we spent a half hour on the phone to get to an agent. Now we had to wait “only” a full day. This isn’t going to be good for people working and studying from home. Thanks for nothing, Comcast. Both our immediate neighbors still have their service, but a neighbor three houses up the street also lost Internet. Our problem is a sudden loss of power between the street junction and our house. Everything is underground and no sign of anything damaged in visible wiring. And by the way, why don’t they remove all the crappy old wiring? Noticed more corroded looking junctions though. When they finally get out here, will ask about actual heavy duty junctions. This is dumb.

Can someone explain to me how someone hasnt gone all fight club on comcast yet? Everything went down in a heap on July 2nd. Spent 2 hours on xfinity chat where they were insistent that it was a wiring issue. Said they would send someone to my house to check my connection. A specialist was supposes to call me and an Appointment was scheduled between 8-11 am on July 5th a freakin sunday. Guess what never got a call and no one ever showed up. Thankfully the internet magically fixed itself on the 2nd and breifly went dowm again on the third. Which also magically restored itself.

Fast forward to the 11th, everything goes down again. This time I call comcast. When I finally get a person I asked for escalation to a manager right away. I explain the situation and the missing phone call / service call. I even offered to send in a transcript of the chat session, having kept one learning my lesson from past calls. Would you believe, that someone working for a national communications company does not have access to email? That's the bullship line I was fed trying to prove Comcast is at fault. I Was also told that my cable modem it is too old and may not provide reliable service anymore. I explained the docis is 3.0 is a standard and the standard is still valid. I also questioned the CSR as to how my modem can be too old yet they are still pushing SD signals as default in their cable packages. You've not been able to buy a standard definition TV in at least 15 years if not more. I was referred to Motorola for questions about my modem and told if I wanted to submit my chat logs I would have to do so in person at a comcast store. Leaving me with the question, why is the automated voice more concerned with my health and safety then the CSR is covid is still a thing. Man I wish I had an option that was not Comcast.

Called back this morning, got someone named Jean. Same old run around. Don’t know when they can fix it. Over two hours on the phone, they cannot give me an appointment for less than 48 hours even though service is completely down. Over two hours on the phone, no resolution.

The federal government should come down on these people for horrendous customer service, incompetent technical service and ridiculous rates for the service they provide.

They should require them to have US based customer service and keep US residents employed. There should be financial penalty for hiring foreigners who are based out of the country when so many in the US need jobs. Their employees should be residents of the country where they provide service.

I was told it was ordered and on its way. Two days later and no sign of it I call customer service again and the woman on the phone says there is NO record of the previous phone call when my modem was supposedly ordered. After another long ordeal a different women says it's ordered and issued a 40 dollar bill credit for my hassle and said the shipping was waived. (why should I ever pay shipping for this type of thing?) I received modem and set it up no problem. A few weeks later I login to the account online and see that the bill is 30 dollars extra.... I bet you can guess? Shipping charge. I'm so beyond sick of these people and the monopoly they have over telecom in my area. Dear comcast, f%@k you.

Now I'm dumping them from my business--and the drama continues. Comcast offers its business customers the option of submitting a form for disconnection of service, but try to use it. (I hate talking to their operators!) Its asking for a six or seven digit account number, but mine has sixteen digits! Then you're forced to call and they asked for the SSN number associated with account (last 4) and you get, "I'm sorry, this doesn't match our records..." You go through a constant loop with them trying to get you to put your last 4 in! Then, you can verify by the card you pay with or the last four of the bank account number. I have no card associated with account and the last 4 of my business bank account isn't recognized either. (had the same account number for 15 years and have done ACH payments with it).
Just an amazingly screwed up, incompetent, awful company. Try to cancel your service or downgrade! They've had me throwing my phone across the room as they want to ask you your viewing preferences to lower my bill! UGH!
I was done with Comcast when they attempted to charge me $1.00 per month to keep Comedy Central on my home TV. $275 a month for TV and Internet, and I watch 10 channels MAX. Then they try to charge an extra $1.00 to keep one of the ten channels I do watch--RIGHT! That $1.00 you tried to collect cost you about $600 in revenue every month you fools! Call Xfinity - was told I could have 5 lines - now they tell me two because account is in my Father's name and his income to credit ratio is not good since my mother died. They tell me I can't switch into my name without closing the account and taking everything back and then start all new - we live in the same household. A line is $12 a month. Now, I can go to my TV and order movies all night long way over $12 but that doesn't take a credit check.
I can go to store and take my 87 yr old father with bad legs and a bunch of ID for both of us and possibly they will transfer to my name and my credit is plenty good enough for one more line. Problem - non of their damn stores are open because of coronavirus - I have been on the phone with these F_CKERs FOR HOURS OVER 3 DAYS!!! Wait time is usually over an hour.

This is the most ridiculous place i have ever had to deal with!
Of course, they are the only cable company in the area so you're screwed unless you want to get two separate things for tv and internet.
If there was something I could do without getting arrested I would so be there!!!

Bbut my biggest gripe is that there isn't yet another cable ISP provider in our area, or any other type of ISP in our area that is any better overall. Either you put up with slower performance and possibly garbage customer service (almost as bad as ComCast) or it is status quo. Maybe one day NBC/Comcast gets their rear end kicked by someone like Apple or Microsoft (both of which are capable of getting into the market, and neither are totally phenomenal either...but would likely be night and day from these idiots).

There's simply no way they could have a glitch in their system. So here I sit, waiting for random men to show up and want on the property while Im home alone.

It's not the reason, it's cheaper for them to off load the handling of content over to others, they have just become a central hub for others content and they can charge the same or more . And it's also a way to lock you into their internet service.

Picture quality has gone down, there are break ups and distortions along with loss of sound you have to put up with. They used to compare themselves with the satellite providers as having a better picture....they seem not to worry about that anymore.

If they had a way to charge you extra for the commercials..they would do that.

The reason that comcast must charge so much is simple, they have their people driving expensive Ford trucks, some with leather, luxury seats. If they were to drive the base Ranger their cost would be less and they could pass the savings to the consumer, but they will pass it along to the executives and the stockholders. If you look at the "bundles" they offer, you will watch a fifth of the channels they package, and they package the garbage channels because they own then, and can insert their commercials into your home. All you need is a cable modem with wireless router combo, a smart TV and only their internet service. Save yourself from the high cost of the cable company.

I like to see the CEO put his salary on hold. Price increases for services have exceeded inflation and customer service is in the toilet. Why are we still paying for sports fees when there are no sports being played? (you will receive some BS answer when inquiring). I did send another complaint to the BBB. Comcast did call me back today with some Trump Like Happy Talk. Cut me a break! We are stuck with this monopoly and have basically no other options. I would like to see Comcast go financially under. By the way, I called and inquired why they did not notify their customers when their services/price will increase on the front page of the bill. I was told that there is not enough room on the first page of the bill, so it is indicated on page three. What a bunch of horseshit! Then I was told to pay more attention when reading my billing statements so I would not have to call Comcast up to complain. I think they are operating in a parallel universe.

I also had a package with Starz which Comcast took away (saying “We replaced it with Epix so that makes it okay”). I paid for Starz and because Comcast can’t work out channel provider contract negotiations successfully, they pass this on to the customers! They also increased our bill at the beginning of the year citing an increase in broadcast fees. I was in a contracted promotion and I can’t make changes or cancel without repercussion due to my contract yet it’s okay for Comcast to make channel changes and fee changes during the contract time frame? Where is the accountability on their end?! Comcast operates with corporate greed and nothing more. I also now pay more for a lesser package which does not include the ID channel which is my favorite channel. To keep the ID channel I would have needed to keep my previous package at a cost of an extra $30/month! Corporate greed at its best! Comcast, remove your Covid-19 commercials in which you tout all the ways you are “here for us”. It’s time to do right by your customers, it’s time to LISTEN to what your customers are saying and address their frustrations, it’s time to be a GOOD corporate citizen. Step up Comcast! It’s time.

Comcast sent me a targeted email offering Blast! 200mbps Internet and 125 TV channels for $80 per month with a 1 year contract. Great! I selected the link which forced me to login and when the offer link was selected it too me to a screen that said there are no plans in your area. Elsewhere, I found in small print that the offer was for new customers only, so why send it to me in the first place if you already knew, or should have known, I was a customer. 90 minutes of chat later that package was $166, but still less than the $244 my previous package had ballooned into. For a week I heard nothing or did not see any changes, so I chatted again. 1 hour later they said everything was in place. Another week later, we lost all our TV channels on our Tivo and on a set-top-box. I logged into my account and they had removed all TV devices leaving the modem that I owned. I called and got into a circular phone tree without any resolution. Once again, I chatted for 45 minutes only to be told the agent could not solve my problem. They told me to call 1-877-405-2298 which connected me to the useless phone tree which asked me to reset my TV devices via their system, so I finally agreed. This time it shut off my Internet as well, so no TV, no Internet, no phone. I called this number again on a cell phone and was told I could hold for an agent and 75 minutes later, I gave up. Almost every encounter with Comcast results in a cascade of nonsense.

Comcast has by far the absolute worst Customer Service in the history of the planet; 4.5 billion years. Plan on being on the phone for an hour or more even for the simplest of needs. You CANNOT get to a live person unless you go through the automated service, which is a nightmare, and even then, you will wait forever to talk to someone.

Once you get a live person, chances are is that they are overseas, can't fully understand English, and, there's a 3-5 second delay in the call so you're always speaking over one another. I live in America, and therefore as a paying customer, I demand speaking to someone in my own Country who understands my needs. I am tired of hearing "thank you for being a Comcast customer, and we really appreciate your business. Sorry to hear you are having a problem, but we are here for you and will fix your issue." Take your script and shove it.Talk to me in human talk. You can request to speak with someone in the USA, but it takes another eternity for you get transferred, if the transfer even takes. Most likely, you'll get disconnected and have to call back.

My ongoing problem is connectivity. My internet will cutoff for a second or two, but in that moment I've lost everything I've been working on or doing. "we need to reset your modem..." It says it takes 10 minutes, but it really takes 3. After waiting 45 minutes for a Customer Service Rep to come on the line, I kept hearing "once your modem is reset, a Customer Service Rep will come online." 45 minutes and still no Rep. Again, take your reset and shove it. It's YOU, not me Comcast! This problem has been going on for a long time. My modem is fine, all the wires are fine, the connections are fine, it's Comcast who is the problem. Every time a Comcast technician is seen in the area, problems happen shortly thereafter. And, my internet cuts off at around the same times each day, within a 10 minute window...huh? Sounds suspicious.

You, Comcast, have a serious problem and you are just another huge company monopolizing the market. Companies like yours should be Government or State regulated, broken up, and limitations should be set in place, so that consumers have more options. Where's Gordon Gecko when you need him? He'll break up your over-sized bullying company.

In closing, there will eventually be a Class Action Lawsuit against you, Comcast, for your negligence, and I will be one to stand up and sign, date, and formally recognize the petition and the charges against you. Senior Management and the Board of Directors of Comcast should be ashamed of being associated with such a piece of s%$t company; but then again, what do they care? They're getting paid big bucks...

Being a college student, we have tons of online homework now, and I'm far behind schedule because of Comcast. First, my family drove to replace the router, thinking this will resolve the issue at home. Nope, still, everything plugged in correctly; we still experience problems with our wifi. Second, I drive out to Flowood, MS, by myself to ask what we need to do in person. They say to call the 1-800 number. Why does the store even exist if their response is "I'm sorry sir there is nothing we can do, your gonna have to try the 1-800 number." my answer to that was "I call the 1-800 number and cant talk to a real person and have repetitively done all the step mentioned." So thank you, Comcast, for allowing me to get behind on all my classes and referring me to a robot.

Comcast customer service sucks because they are useless. I need to disconnect my service because I am moving to the place which already provides internet and second day in a row I am trying to contact them. You cannot cancel it online- you need to talk to loyalty department (what a name! and they call agents customer service executives!!! executives, sure). I started from calling yesterday and the wait was more than 2 hours with no callback option offered. And while you are waiting, you can't really be sure that you are still on hold, because there is just silence in the phone. I tried to use their website chat which actually lists cancellation as one of the options. First I talked to the bot. That was painful. Then it connected me to a chat window with a live agent. The window showed me that I am # 369 in line to chat haha. Then i was offered a callback which I gladly chose. The system notified me that the wait was over 260 minutes. They called in 4 hours. After chatting for 20 minutes with an agent who asked me a million questions, I found that she cannot do anything because only this fecking loyalty department can cancel my service so she needed to transfer the call. I asked specifically if she puts me on hold and the call drops, what should I do? She told me she made a notation on my file and in this case they'd call me back. Well, it happened on 47th minute of me being on hold and nobody called me back, Today I repeated this exercise. The phone call was not available due to "technical difficulties". I repeated the chat procedure on the website and actually got connected to a real person with unreal name Stella Maris. But my joy was short lived as this agent could not do anything, even helping me to set a callback.Total waste of life and energy. Their phone is still not working. I am frustrated beyond belief but I can only blame myself for getting them as my internet providers. Never again.

Customer service representatives at Comcast are total liars that do nothing but swindle you. My rates went up because my "promotion" ended and I wanted better pricing. The rep I talked to kept charging me for things that were ridiculous- a box I didn't even own, the network TV service when I had internet only and no TV or added channels. I finally got what I thought was correct, and stupidly agreed to the "contract" (more like selling your soul to Satan). The satanic deal, I mean contract, said I legally had 30 days to cancel it. I check back I few days later and it's wrong, I'm getter not charged $100 for 100 mps internet, what a joke. I call back AGAIN and say I want to cancel the contract I agreed to two days ago. TWO DAYS. She says I can't cancel it. Comcast does highly illegal things and their reps are literally the WORST I have ever dealt with. Used car dealers have more integrity than these people. If you're going to screw people this bad then mail some lube with your bill. I am so happy AT & T fiber internet is coming soon to my area. Bye Comcast! You suck!!!

I live in Tennessee where the tornadoes hit. Because of the Comcast outage we have no way of really getting any information. Every time I call to find out when service will be back up, I keep getting tomorrow at 8:08 am. However tonight when I called they said tonight at 7:58 pm. It's now 8:30 pm. When I called it had again been moved to tomorrow morning. The funny thing is that my electricity was back up within 14 hours, and the electric company had to actually replace poles and wires. My Comcast has been down for 4 days, so I'm confused as to what the issue is. I have decided that when I pay my bill next month I am going to subtract the amount it would cost per day for the number of days it was out. I mean, my power company doesn't charge me when I don't have electricity. Only seems fair that I shouldn't have to pay for a service I was not able to use. If everyone started doing this then maybe Comcast would get off of their collective asses and actually work for the customer!
